ACCREDITATION - ERASMUS+ KA151 - 2025 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

Organized by CARAVELA – Association for European Citizenship, the initiative brought together 13 participants from Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, North Macedonia, and Portugal.

The Erasmus+ training course “Discovering Europe through Active Youth Citizenship – 2025” took place in Hungary from May 20 to 25, 2026, in Tar, Budapest, Pásztó, and Hollókő.

This ERASMUS+ KA151 ACCREDITATION project aims to reach the accreditation’s target group - namely, youth workers with fewer opportunities living in rural areas - by encouraging their participation and involvement in the European project.

 Program Activities

The mobility project included professional development sessions on “organizing Erasmus+ youth initiatives,” “workshops on eco-friendly tools for youth work and sharing future perspectives,” and an “EU Discovery Seminar.” Participants also contributed to the “Guide to Best Practices for Socio-Educational Facilitators” The project also organized several cultural visits, such as a visit to the Hungarian Parliament, and cultural exchanges in Tar, Pásztó, Hollókő, and Budapest.

 Impact

This project aims to address the needs identified during the accreditation process and by the partners in the project consortium, which are directly related to young people’s apathy toward European issues, as well as the lack of active European citizenship among young people in general, with a focus on those with fewer opportunities.

ACCREDITATION - ERASMUS+ KA151 - 2025 - YOUTH MOBILITY

This is an ACCREDITATION - ERASMUS+ KA151 project, in which CARAVELA, as the PROMOTING organisation, aims to reach the target group for accreditation, i.e. young people aged between 14 and 30 with fewer opportunities who live in rural areas, encouraging their participation and involvement in the European project.

As such, this ERASMUS+ youth mobility programme was created between 30 October and 4 November 2025 in the city of Porto (Portugal), with participants from six European countries (PORTUGAL, SPAIN, HUNGARY, CZECH REPUBLIC, ITALY and POLAND).

Twenty-seven young people aged between 18 and 30 participated in the youth mobility programme, together with six adult group leaders, with no age limit, one for each group.

This project aims to respond to the needs identified in the Accreditation and by the partners that make up the project consortium, which are directly related to young people's apathy towards European issues, as well as the lack of active European citizenship among young people in general, with an emphasis on those with fewer opportunities. Several non-formal education activities related to European citizenship and the EU itself were carried out, as well as several visits to the territory and cultural activities.
